After last years remarkable Skypecast concert (http://www.adrants.com/2006/09/mcdonalds-talks-snicket-videos-sex-replac.php) Heineken Netherlands has done it again: integrate a cool new technique into an marketing campaign. This time the dutchies are using geoblogging to allow visitors of http://www.heineken.nl to watch live where the Heineken delivery trucks are going. Because the truckdrivers all carry a Nokia n95 phone (with built-in GPS transmitter), they can be seen live on a Google-earth like map. Very cool indeed. Dutch geoblogging pioneers bliin.com are also participating in this campaign, called ‘Delivery Men’.
Thanks for this GREAT find! Totally brilliant concept. I played around with the interface and followed a truck around; just wish I could understand what they’re saying.
