Funny post :)
The "what I'm doing" kinds of tweets are best and most appropriate in real time, when they're happening. For maximum exposure of a message, especially if you're a business trying to have as many possible customers see your tweet, is suggested by some Twitter marketing studies to be at the beginning of the workday, at lunch, and again near the end of the workday...with Wednesday, Thursday and Friday being the highest Twitter traffic days. Important to remember that not all followers are in the same timezone.

I don't agree. People follow so many twitterers that the ones done when people aren't at their desks will scroll past and they'll never been seen. Who scrolls back and checks the hundreds they missed overnight? It's a case of 'blink and you'll miss it'.

Thanks Mark, I was totally aiming for the sarcastic approach when I wrote this over 1 year ago. Really surprised at how much dialogue this is getting. Didn't expect it.

All the best. BTW, you can follow me on Twitter at @joeszabo

Any time, of course ;)

Joe, great chart, really got me smiling. I'm a marketer, googled 'best time to tweet' and saw this; sarcasm and humour alive and well and living on your blog. I tweeted the link to this 'cos us marketers need to laugh at ourselves and you hit the sweet spot with this. Great stuff!

I can't believe the first two commentators were actually trying to understand the chart.

I think the most important point is...if you are worrying about the best time to tweet....you are probably not using Twitter right

Roger, yes this is ME being totally sarcastic.

I was trying to convey with a smirk grin that the best time to Twitter is basically anytime because of desktop apps and the mobile nature of Twitter.
